OnePlus entered the foldable phone space last year. The first smartphone OnePlus Open was launched in 2023. After its success, OnePlus is now preparing to launch OnePlus Open 2 as its successor. Smartprix revealed the render of the OnePlus Open 2 before the announcement. Which looks to have a very different design from the official open foldable phone.
As you can see below in the renders of OnePlus Open 2. The back panel of the phone has a simple plain design. The camera module is placed inside a circular shape. It has the facility of 3 cameras and a flashlight. It is expected that this camera module will be placed above the island. The flashlight is set in the upper part of the island. As is in the OnePlus Open foldable phone.

According to the report, it will be thinner and bigger in size than the last launched official open foldable phone. The phone is less than 10mm thick when folded and is protected with an IPX8 rating. The open-fold phone comes with an IPX4 rating and 11.7mm thickness.
OnePlus Open 2 Features Expectations
There are many rumors and leaks in the market related to OnePlus Open 2. According to the information received from those rumors, it will have an 8-inch 2K LTPO display with a 120Hz refresh rate. After folding the phone, the upper display becomes a 6.4-inch AMOLED. Which is very bright and has the ability to peak brightness more.
Its battery capacity is expected to be 5,900mAh and will include support for 80W wired charging along with wireless charging. The device will boot with OxygenOS 15 based on Android 15.
